Police in running battles with LUANAR students

Information reaching faceofmalawi indicates that students from Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR) are in running battles with the police.

According to information at hand, this morning the students had discussion with the management where they were demanding a school bus to ferry them to Escom House at City Centre, where the students where to deliver a petition on the persistent blackouts.

But management denied granting the students a bus, forcing the students to went on the street blocking the road with burning tires.

The development did not please the police who retaliated by firing teargas at the students hence the fracas.

The students have no had power for three days and exams are around the corner.
