Blue fight take new twist: DPP Youth Director Louis Ngalande backs Callista for endorsing Chilima

Dust is refusing to settle on the remarks made by former Malawi’s first lady Callista Mutharika endorsing vice President Dr. Saulos Chilima as the party presidential candidate in the forthcoming tripartite election and the latest to comment on the matter being the party’s national director of youths Louis Ngalande.

In his statement Ngalande said Callista is not alone on the calls to have the vice President as DPP Presidential candidate the forthcoming polls, saying some top blast in the party are also in support of the matter.

Ngalande openly said he is in support of Chilima in the forthcoming polls.

“Frankly speaking am in full support of the calls that Chilima should represent DPP in 2019 polls and not President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika,” said Ngalande.

He also agreed with Callista’s remarks that President Mutharika is surrounded by beasts and thieves.

Effort to talk to DPP Publicity Secretary Francis Kasaila on the matter proved futile.
