First Deputy Speaker Esther Mcheka Chilenje joins DPP

First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, who is also Nsanje North Parliamentarian Esther Mcheka Chilenje, has joined ruling Democratic Progressive Party.

Chilenje confirmed of the development in an interview with one of the local daily papers (Daily Times Newspaper) on Tuesday.

She said she has joined the party after consulting his constituents.

Deputy Speaker said she has joined DPP because it has played a crucial role in developing her constituency.
