“I Promise More Women, Cigarettes & Beer If Voted as President in the Next Election”, Says Zimbabwean Presidential Aspirant

A Zimbabwean politician who intends to run for presidency in the country’s impending election has amused people with his manifesto to provide enough women, beer and cigarettes once he is voted into power.

Mhazo’s posters

The presidential aspirant identified as Arnold Mhazo of Zimbabwe National Union (ZNU), is promising the people of Zimbabwe that their country will never ever be a boring place once they vote for him as president because there will be enough of the above mentioned things.

His campaign poster has made him attain a celebrity status after the poster went viral in different social media platforms.

Zimbabwe Election Commission (ZEC) says to take part in an election they have to part with $1‚000 for the presidential election‚ parliamentary candidates $50 and local government $10. The money is paid as registration with the Nomination Court.

So far 115 political parties and hundreds of individuals have informed the ZEC of their intention to take part as election candidates.

The upcoming elections seem to be more open as people from humble community activists to seasoned politicians have since shown interest to participate.
