Barcelona Star ‘Messi’ Visits South Africa to Meet Socialite ‘Zodwa Wabantu’

News has surfaced on twitter that the real reason the Barcelona superstar, Lionel Messi visited South Africa was to meet Zodwa Wabantu, the famous South African socialite who doesn’t wear panties.

The joke was started by a fake Messi twitter account which tweeted in Zula language “IZODWA YABANTU AM COMING #automtaically on my way.”

Following that tweet, tweeter was crowded with tweets linking Messi’s visit to South Africa to Zodwa wabantu.

Jokes aside, the fact is that Messi and fellow Bacelona players visited South Africa this week and played against South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns team.

The hastily arranged friendly match, which earned Barcelona three million euros from billionaire Sundowns owner Patrice Motsepe, was ostensibly to mark 100 years since the birth of Mandela.

The end of the match saw Barca winning 3-1 to Sundowns and they were given a trophy depicting Nelson Mandela.
