The High Court in Zomba has denied bail fugitive murder suspect Misozi Chanthunya, faceofmalawi can reveal.
The development means Chanthunya will remain on remand at Maula Prison in the capital Lilongwe.
Appearing before the High Court Judge today in Zomba, Chanthunya pleaded not guilty to the murder charges leveled against him.
Chanthunya is accused of killing his pregnant girlfriend, Linda Gasa in August 2010.
The Zomba Magistrate Court moved the case to the High Court on 9th March this year, explaining that such courts do not have jurisdiction over murder cases.
