Couple Donates to Kabadwa Primary School

The couple donated assorted items ranging from pencils, pens, and sports balls to learners and teachers at the school as to upgrade their learning and teaching skills.

Close to 1500 learners at Kabwabwa LEA school in Lilongwe can briefly breathe a sigh of relief following a donation, one noble citizen, Enock Sankhulani Banda and his partner, Macelani Reis Banda made to the institution recently.

According to Enock, himself a former pupil at the institution, the school is in dire need of assistance if it is to properly inculcate its official role of offering quality education services to the future leaders of the country.

“It was so disheartening seeing students, most of them from less-to-do families, struggling to access their basic right to education. I felt the urge to assist them in whatever way I could,” he revealed.

According to Enock, the gesture was made out of goodwill and people should not think he has some hidden agenda.

Said he, “I didn’t do this for the world to praise me or think I’ve fat pockets. No! I just wanted to be exemplary so that with the little we have, we can make mother Malawi a safe haven for all.”

On her part, the Head teacher for the institution, Joyce Mgusha said she was surprised seeing somebody with a kind heart making the donation. She said if more citizenry could follow suit, Malawi could be uplifted to desirable heights.

“This is what we’re supposed to be doing as patriotic citizens. As a school, we’re really appreciating what Enock and Macelani have done. It really means a lot to us.” Praised she.

Kabwabwa LEA is one of the oldest schools in Area 25, Lilongwe. It has produced various well known citizens in the country. However, of late, the school has been crippled with various challenges
