Deputy Speaker Esther Mcheka Chilenje honored with Doctorate Degree

Commonwealth University has conferred an Honorary Doctorate degree in Public Administration with strategic leadership to Member of Parliament for Nsanje North Constituency Esther Mcheka Chilenje who is also Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly.

The development means Esther Mcheka Chilenje will now be called Dr. Esther Mcheka Chilenje.

Mcheka Chilenje confirmed of the development in a statement posted on her official facebook page seen by faceofmalawi reporter, saying the graduation ceremony took place yesterday in Dubai.

“This was in recognition of how I discharge my duties in parliament,” wrote Chilenje.

Chilenje has since dedicated the doctorate degree to the people of her Constituency.
