Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Se3cretary General Grezeldar Jeffrey has quashed media reports that she was robbed MK1.3 million by unknown thugs on Thursday night at her lodge in Nkhota-Kota where she spent a night.
Last week Friday, the social media was awash with reports that unknown thugs robbed Jeffrey cash amounting to MK1.3 million and two dresses valued at Mk35, 000 each.
Nkhotakota Police Public Relations Officer also confirmed of the development in a statement seen by faceofmalawi reporter.
But speaking in an in interview with the press, Jeffrey wa Jeffrey denied the robbery attack describing it as fabrication.
Jeffry wa Jeffrey accused the opposition of being behind the speculations to tarnish her image.
