One of the victims who were attacked by a furious lion in Chitipa has breathed his last.
Reports say, 58-year-old Eric Haonga died in the early hours of 6th August at Mzuzu Central Hospital where he was admitted.
The Lion was reportedly to have been causing havoc in areas around senior Chief Kameme and Traditional Authority Mwaulambia in Chitipa district.
It has been killing and eating livestocks in July, 2018.
Two of the other victims, Lingson Kauka 30 and Bacha Simwaba 27 both from Kasisi village in the area of Traditional Authority Mwaulambia in Chitipa district have since been discharged from hospital.
Meanwhile, the lion has since returned to Zambia.
