Son Kills Mother with Stone in Nsanje

Reports coming from Nsanje indicate that a son, Paulosi Genti has killed his mother by stoning her to death while she was asleep.

It is said the mother, Meria Genti had advised her son to stop his tendency of coming home at night – a thing which angered the accused.

Thereafter, he started beating his mother until the quarrels ended later on. But in the middle of the night, the boy woke up, picked a heavy stone and hit his mother in the head while she was fast asleep.

The victim sustained two deep cuts in the head and she was taken to the district’s hospital but she arrived at the facility already dead.

Postmortem revealed the death was due to hemorrhagic shock and severe head injuries.

Meanwhile, the son to the deceased is to appear in court soon.
