A 15- year-old boy died last night and five other people sustained various degrees of injuries after a wall of a house collapsed in a hail storm that hit some parts of Phalombe.
Phalombe District Commissioner, Gosam Mafuta confirmed of the development in an interview with Zodiak Broadcasting Station (ZBS).
According to Mafuta, people in the areas of traditional authority Kaledzera and Nkhulambe have been most hit by the disaster.
He said the injured people have been referred to Mulanje district hospital for treatment.
The hail storm has also affected some parts of Blantyre, Thyolo and Zomba.
