Illegal Possession of Medical Drugs Lands Man in Police Custody

Police in Ntchisi have arrested a 42-year-old man for allegedly being found in possession of medical drugs without a licence.

The suspect has been identified as Wistone Faliyoti of Kamphiritso Village in the area of Traditional Authority Chilooko in Ntchisi who is a businessman at Malomo Trading Centre.

The incident happened on Thursday September 27 2018 at Malomo Trading Centre.

Police report indicates that the suspect was arrested after well-wishers tipped police and he was found in possession of Quinine tablets, Amoxyline, fragile tablets and among many others.

Following the tip, police arrested the suspect and seized the medical drugs.

The suspect will appear before court soon to answer charges of found in possession of medical drugs and the medical drugs will be tendered in court as part of evidence.
