Mutharika to attend Mulhakho wa a Alhomwe festival on Sunday


President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika with this coming Sunday attend the Mulhakho wa a Alhomwe annual Cultural Festival scheduled to take place at Chonde in Mulanje district.

This will be the first outing for President Muthaika since he returned from the 2018 United Nation General Assembly (UNGA) in New York and is yet to come open to Malawians on what transpired at the summit.

Chief Secretary to the President Lloyd Muhara confirmed of the development in a statement released on Thursday made available to faceofmalawi reporter.

Speaking in an interview earlier this month, the group’s board chair Leston Mulli urged all Malawians wishing to attend the cultural festival not to put on party colours.

Mulli said Mulhakho wa a Alhomwe is cultural event not a political party.
