Senior Chief Mkumbira of Nkhata Bay no more

Death has been announced of outspoken Senior Chief Mkumbira of Nkhata-Bay district, faceofmalawi can reveal.

Spokesperson in the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development Muhlabase Mughogho and Nkhata-Bay District Commissioner, Rodney Simwaka confirmed of the development, saying the chief died on Tuesday afternoon.

According to Simwaka, the late Mkumbira was found unconscious in the bathroom.

His family members took him to Nkhata District Hospital where doctors said he was already dead.

Meanwhile funeral details are still sketchy.
