Police Spokesperson Esther Katongo says General Kanene is likely to face another charge other than the indecent assault charge which he was charged with.
This follows a CCTV footage which officers were shown at the bar and restaurant where the incident happened from.
Katongo said after watching the footage, Kamene’s act lacks elements to qualify it to be Indecent Assault as reported by the victim.
“Police officers were today availed with the CCTV footage of what transpired at the bar and restaurant in Makeni Villa where Dimba is alleged to have indecently assaulted the 26 year old victim and the act by Dimba lack elements to qualify it to be Indecent Assault as reported by the victim. The suspect is likely to face another charge other than indecent assault,” Katongo said.
She said an update will be given once fresh charges are made.
