Remains of six MDF soldiers killed in DRC finally in Malawi

The remains of six Malawi Defence Force (MDF) soldiers killed in Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) have finally arrived in the country through Kamuzu International Airport (KIA).

The plane carrying the six fallen heroes landed at KIA at exactly 12 noon.

The six soldiers are Lt. Aubrey Kachemwe, Sgt. Steve Kambalame, Cpl. Jonathan Kapichira, Pvt. Simplex Taferakaso, Pvt. Chauncy Chitete and Pvt. Benjamin Songela.

The bodies have since been disembarked from the UN plane and the funeral service is expected to commence any minute from now
