UTM member George Saonda arrested again

The Police in Zomba have arrested United Transformation Movement (UTM) Party member George Saonda for allegedly being found with a riffle without proper documents.
Eastern Region Police Spokesperson Joseph Sauka confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.
According to Sauka, Saonda was arrested on Thursday following a roadblock mounted at Thondwe, Zomba.
He said the police also found him with live ammunition after searching him.
Meanwhile UTM has described Saonda’s arrest as political.
