Information reaching faceofmalawi indicates the body of late Professor Mathews Chikaonda may not arrive in the country from the US on Thursday as earlier planned.
Chikaonda who once served as Reserve Bank Governor under former President Dr. Bakili Muluzi died on October 28, 2018 in United States of America after a long illness.
Initial, the body of late Chikaonda was expected to leave the US today but logistical challenges have forced the family to delay the trip.
According to family members, new arrangements being made, this will eventually mean change of the burial date from Friday.
Chikaonda will be laid to rest at his home village, Ntakataka in Dedza district.
