Chilima declared UTM President after going unopposed at the convention

State Vice President Dr. Saulos Chilima has been declared President of the United Transformation Movement (UTM) Party after going unopposed at the ongoing convention currently underway at Bingu International Convention Centre (BICC) in the capital Lilongwe.
He went unopposed at the convention.
The development means Chilima will represent the Party in the forthcoming 2019 tripartite election scheduled for May 21.
In a related development, Patricia Kaliati has been declared as UTM’s Secretary General after also going unopposed at the convention.
