Catholic Priest Shot Dead by Thugs while Dropping Sunday Offerings at Bank

Unknown thugs in Kenya have shot dead a catholic priest and rob him off church offering money which he was going to deposit at bank in Kiambu county.

According to Kiambu County Police Commander Andiel Nyange, the incident occurred on Monday when Father Njoroge Muhia of Kinoo Parish was on his way to drop the offering at the bank.

“A gang of four on two motorcycles blocked the priest on a rough road and demanded a bag that was in the car. One gunman shot through the windscreen of the Toyota Harrier car and a bullet hit the priest in the chest,” Nyange told Kenyan local news outlets.

The priest was rushed to a nearby Hospital but was declared dead on arrival.

“All the money was stolen. We don’t know the amount but we are investigating,” Nyange added.
