Chikwawa Road Accident Claims Man’s Life

A 28-year-old man has died in a road accident on Thursday after being hit by a land cruiser along an earth road within Nchalo Estate in Chikwawa.

Chikwawa Police Station public relations officer, Constable Foster Benjamin identified the deceased as Isaac Zeka, who is said to have been tragically killed while pedaling towards the direction of Mess within the estate.

“It is said that driver Grayson Malili, 39, was cruising towards Mess from Chikoka Tower when he hit Zeka near Nkombedzi Intersection,” said Benjamin.

Following the impact, Zeka died overnight due to severe head injuries.

It is also reported that his bicycle crushed on its rear tyre while the vehicle, registration number KK779 belonging to KK Security Service, was left unscathed.

Zeka hailed from Sekeni Village in the area of Paramount Chief Lundu in Chikwawa District.
