State Vice President Dr. Saulos Chilima arrived back from United States of America on Thursday through Kamuzu International Airport (KIA) in the capital Lilongwe.

Chilima was welcomed by his wife, Merry and some United Transformation Movement (UTM) top officials led by its Secretary General Patricia Kaliati.

The party organized a grand welcome but the plan was called off at the 11th hour, according to UTM Publicity Secretary Dr. Joseph Chidant Malunga.

Chilima left the country on January 14, 2019 for USA where he had a chance to meet Malawians living in the USA.

The Vice President also had an exclusive interview with Voice of America (VOA) where he highlighted a number of issues.

Meanwhile Chilima is expected to comment on the barbaric act by Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) youth cadets on its supporters and one of the victims being the Party’s National Youth Director Bon Kalindo.
