Information reaching faceofmalawi indicates that Emeritus Bishop Allan Chamgwera of Zomba Diocese has been hospitalized at Adventist Hospital in Blantyre.

This has been confirmed in a short statement posted on ‘I am a Catholic and I am Proud’ Facebook page seen by faceofmalawi reporter.

“Be informed that Emeritus Bishop Allan Chamgwera of Zomba Diocese has been hospitalized at Adventist Hospital in Blantyre. Let us pray for his quick recovery and to those who can manage lets spare some time to cheer him up at the hospital.

“Get well soon our Bishop. Proud Catholics are with you in prayers. We love you,” reads in part the statement.

According to the information, Bishop Chamgwera is in Room 16B.

Retired bishop Chamgwera is 91 years Old.
