APAM obtains an injunction against Buleya’s burial

Information reaching faceofmalawi indicates that Association of People with Albinism in Malawi (APAM) has obtained an injunction restraining the burial of Lule Buleya, one of the key suspects in the abduction of a boy with albinism in Dedza, Goodson Makanjira.

Buleya died on Thursday at Kumuzu Central Hospital (KCH) after an illness, according to National Police Spokesperson James Kadadzera.

The sudden death of Buleya has attracted public outcry with many including family members suspecting foul play on his death.

The development has also forced APAM led by its President Overstone Kondowe to demand a postmortem by an independent Pathologist hence obtaining an injunction.

“I can confirm that Apam has obtained the injunction at the High Court in Lilongwe. How can a key suspect die in prison before revealing where he sold Goodson? “Kondowe said.

The police are yet to comment on the matter.
