Chisi described as one of the best among the presidential candidates.

By Robert Kumwenda

Umodzi Party (UP) leader Professor John Chisi has been described as one of the best candidate among the people that are contesting for the position of president in May tripartite elections.

According to some of the people that were interviewed favored him as the one who has good and proven record.

Damson Makwemba a resident of Ntcheu said the UP leader is not corrupt and has not changed jobs as it is been the case with other presidential aspirants.

Mosses Masambuka from Chiradzulu said Professor John Chisi qualifies to rule this country because he has worked as a professor for twenty two good years and is well focused.

He said he grew up here, his integrity is unquestionable, he is patriotic and has good ideas to move the country from poverty.

Lovemore Maulidi who is based in Lilongwe said Chisi has not changed in the way he does his politics as it has been the case with other political party leaders whose interest is to serve themselves.

“This is an opportunity for Malawi to change in the way we do things and that change can come if we usher in new leaders with new ideas come May 2019 and the UP leader is one such kind of a leader that can bring in change,” he said.

Michael Masiye who is based in Mzuzu also said the country can never have the best president than Chisi because he has already demonstrated that he has the welfare of poor Malawians through what he has been doing over the years.

“Some of the people vying for the president have nothing new to offer to Malawians they are recycled politicians who have moved from party to party,” he said.
