Police in Balaka Embarks on Regular Visit on Persons with Albinism

Police in Balaka have embarked on regular home visits to Persons with Albinism (PWA) as one way of ensuring their safety.

Balaka police Deputy Spokesperson Precious Makuta confirmed of the exercise saying the door to door service is aimed at ensuring that PWA are safe.

Makuta said with support from community leaders and other stakeholders the initiative will assist to improve security of Persons with Albinism.

There are approximately 61 persons with albinism in Balaka district, according to Police database.
