OXFAM BEGINS FLOOD RESPONSE

Oxfam in Malawi with support from Oxfam Great Britain and Oxfam South Africa, has begun response to the impacts of floods caused by Cyclone Idai

On 25th March,2019 at Bangula camp in Nsanje district providing water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) support. 1,000 families in Bangula camp have received hygiene kits.

“Hygiene conditions here in the camp are not very good and I do fear for my baby – but I have no choice. I lost all my household items when my house collapsed in the floods. The Oxfam support is timely to relieve me of the burden. I’ll be using one bucket for bathing my baby and another for storing drinking water.” Zainabu, a resident of Bangula camp
