Health Science students on rampage in Zomba

Students from Malawi College of Health Sciences – Zomba campus – this morning went on rampage to protest against the resumption of a strike by their lecturers.

The students decollated the road leading to the campus with tree branches, burning tyres and stones were all over.

One of the students told Zodiak Broadcasting Station (ZBS) that they have not been learning and eating at the campus since yesterday because staff and lecturers are not working.

The lecturers want government to address a number of challenges bordering on working conditions.

It took the intervention of the Police who fired teargas to disperse the angry students.

Meanwhile tension is still high at the campus..
