Wall Collapses, kills Three Children in Thyolo

THYOLO – On 06 March, 2019 around 22:00 hours at Gomani village, T/a Changata in Thyolo, a sudden death happened after a house wall collapsed and killed 3 people in the house.

Mr Benson jamali, 42 years from Gomani village T/a Changata in Thyolo reported that his sons namely Benson Jamali age of 6, Innocent Jamali 6 years and Kenson Jamali 9 years of same particulars died suddenly after a wall of his house collapsed and fell on them.

Brief facts are that Mr. Jamali with his family went to sleep around  20:00 hours. The deceased persons were sleeping in a separate room and around 22:00 hours, a wall of the house collapsed and fell on them due to persistent rainfall talking place across Malawi.

Due to the impact of the wall, the deceased persons died on the spot and other victims namely Cecelia Jamali, 18 years of same particulars who is also a daughter to the Mr. Jamali and Esnath Gibo age 2 years of same particulars who is a grand daughter to the Mr. Jamali sustained injuries and were taken to hospital

The incident  was reported to police where police party together with medical personnel visited the scene and postmortem conducted revealed that death was due to severe head injury.
