MCP Vice President Sidik Mia Promises Youth Empowerment

The Vice President for Malawi Congress party (MCP) Sidik Mia has assured and promised the youth in the country that once the party is ushered into power it this forth coming tripartite elections on May 21 he will empower the youth by providing loans and create job opportunity.

Addressing the gathering at Naotcha Primary School Ground in Blantyre City South constituency Mia said most graduates in the country are not employed hence affecting the social economic of country.

“When we voted into power we will make sure that the youth are empowered through providing vocational trainings like Carpentry and Joinery , Mechanics, Brick laying, Auto -electrician , Tailoring just to mention but a few,” he said, adding that MCP led government  will set K50,000 as minimum wage and those who receive K100,000 will be tax free.

Mia further said the county need hospital in any location, portable water with pipes, built more factories and construct more schools to shorten long distances and cut transportation for learners.

National Campaign Director for the party Moses Nkukuyu said the main aim of the rally was to inform voters  that campaign has started and urged them to vote for Dr Lazarus Chakwera and his running mate Sidik Mia, himself as parliamentarian and MCP councilors so that the country should have  more and tangible development.

He said uring his tenature  from 2009-2014 he constructed 16  blocks and fence at Naotcha primary school and constructed more bridges and when voted again he will continue with more development.

“Once voted into power this time I will put tarmac at ring road from Chilobwe Centre to Naotcha primary school and Chilobwe Market, improve Small and Medium Enterprise (SMEs), improve Malata subsidy among others,” he said.

In related development aspirant councilor for Soche East Ward Alex Sulumba said once voted into power he will bring more development like road network infrastructure, portable water and construct more bridges.
