Lilongwe City Council seal KFC restaurant

Information reaching faceofmalawi indicates that the Lilongwe City Council has sealed KFC restaurants in the capital Lilongwe.

Faceofmalawi reporter who visited the restaurant on Wednesday morning was welcomed by a notice from Lilongwe City Council, saying the restaurant is closed.

LCC Public Relations Officer Public Relations Officer Tamara Chafunya confirmed of the development in an interview with Daily Times.

According to Chafunya, the restaurant’s staffs on Tuesday night were caught depositing liquid waste (from a septic tank) into a storm-drain.

She said the council has closed the restaurant until they comply with city by-laws.
