Unknown people destroy Mutharika’s billboards in Mzuzu

Information reaching faceofmalawi indicates that unknown people have destroyed 4 billboards bearing the face of President Professor Peter Mutharika in Mzuzu.

Northern Region Police Headquarters Publicist, Superintendent Peter Kalaya has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.

“We have a file in our desk of the same and I assure you the investigation is underway and we are hoping the arrest will be made within three days and bring to book the culprits”. said Kalaya.

 He further advised politicians to adhere to the laws of campaign and ensure that no act of violence erupts in the circles of their political arena.

Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Director of Youth in the North Kennedy Chirambo also confirmed of the development, saying the four billboards were seen destroyed on Tuesday morning.

Meanwhile police are yet to arrest the culprits.
