Church Leaders Hold Intercessory Prayers; Chakwera in Attendance

Church leaders in the country are holding intercessory prayers at Baptist Church in Blantyre ahead of May 21 tripartite elections.

Among other things, church leaders are praying for the country’s electoral body, Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) to hold free, fair and credible elections.

Adding to that they are committed to pray for the media practitioners, seeking God’s intervention and guidance to the media for professionalism during the elections.

Malawi Congress Party (MCP) President Lazarus Chakwera who is also included in the presidential race in May 21 elections, is attending the intercessory payers.  

Malawi on May 21, 2019 will hold tripartite elections where president, members of parliament and councilors are expected to be elected.
