Two Ndirande Teens Arrested for Killing Friend at a Disco

Police in Ndirande township have arrested two teenage boys for murdering a 19-year-old boy at a Disco.

The two are 18-year-old boy, Shakil Banda and a 17-year-old (name withheld).

Ndirande Police Publicist, Edna Mzingwitsa said that the two allegedly murdered Precious Bakayao on Sunday.

“Precious and his friends organized a disco at Chikaoneka private school in the township. The two suspects who were outside, called Precious where a fight broke.

“Precious collapsed in the course of the fight and the two suspects ran away. The victim was taken to Ndirande Health Centre where the death was confirmed,” said Mzingwiritsa.

The autopsy indicated that death was due to hemorrhagic shock due to stab wound secondary to assault.

The two will soon appear in court over murder charges.

The deceased hailed from Milepa village, T/A Mpama in Chiradzulu district.

The suspects, Shakil Banda hails from Matindi village, in the area of Traditional Authority Kapeni in Blantyre, while the 17 year old, Kunthembwe village T/A Kunthembwe also in Blantyre.
