Fire guts down Chipiku stores in Kasungu

Fire on Monday gutted down Chipiku stores in Kasungu District destroying properties worthy millions, faceofmalawi can reveal.

According to information at hand, onlookers took advantage of the fire accident at the wholesale shop to loot out goods in the newly opened shop.

Fire fighters from Kasungu Manicipal Council failed to rush to the scene due to the fact the fire engine in the district is grounded.

The fire engine from Lilongwe arrived at the scene very late and nothing was saved from the affected shop.

The cause of the fire is not yet known at the moment.
