Bakili says Mbuzi ipite bonanza has achieved its intention

Umodzi Party (UP) Director of Publicity Sadana Tamanda Bakili has siad the Mbuzi Ipite bonanza which she launched a couple of weeks ago has achieved its intended objectives.

She was speaking after the end of the tournament Monday at Chigumula ground in Blantyre.

Bakili  who is contesting as ward councilor for Chigumula ward under the ticket of UP  said the aim of the Bonanza was to make the youth busy  by giving them something to entertain themselves as well as having fun.

“The response was overwhelming because almost l was receiving reports about teams that were interested to participate in the Bonanza,” she said.

She said this is also in line with the aim of the leadership of the party Professor John Chisi of promoting youth.

The Bonanza started on 21 March and has ended on 21 April 24, 2019; sixteen teams participated in the Bonanza and only teams for the ward were allowed to compete.

Young Stars became the champions after beating Young destroyers in post-match penalties 5-4 when the game ended in 1-1 draw after ninety minutes.
