Chimwala urges people of Blantyre City East Constituency to vote for DPP candidates

By Robert Kumwenda

Blantyre City East Constituency Shadow Member of Parliament (MP)  for the governing Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Alex Chimwala has urged people in the constituency to vote for the party’s candidates in May 21 tripartite elections.

He was speaking at a political rally which he addressed at Kwandilekeni ground in the constituency.

Chimwala said the country has witnessed a number of development projects under the DPP led government as such it was very important to vote for it again for the developments to continue.

“If you elect me as your MP I will finished all the unfinished projects that were left by the previous legislators and l will construct tarred roads for easy movement and communication’” he said.

He said it was very important for the people in the constituency to choose a person who is an indigenous citizen of the area because the previous legislators just cheated them.

Chimwala also promised to preserve the culture heritage if elected so that the youth should not forget different dances the country has.

The DPP Shadow MP also promised to build additional school blocks at Mpata L.E .A school to easy pressure at Mkolokoti Full Primary School.

“l have also identified land to build a secondary school  at Fargo area in maone so that our children should not walk long distances when they go to school , l will also drill some additional boreholes so that people should have access to clean and safe water to make the area free of water borne diseases,” he said.

He therefore asked the people not to be cheated by other political leaders who have nothing to give them by voting wisely.
