Late Traditional Authority Mavwere will be laid to rest this coming Saturday at his headquarters in Mchinji District, faceofmalawi can reveal.
Traditional Authority Mavwere died on Tuesday in after succumbing to lung and kidney failure at St Gabriel Namitondo Hospital in Namitete Lilongwe, according to District Commissioner Rosemary Nawasha.
T/A Mavwere real name, Kenvas Folosi Chikungu was born in 1937.
He was installed T/A Mavwere in 2004 and is survived by a wife, 11 children and 119 grandchildren.
Faceofmalawi joins the rest of Malawians in mourning the death of T/A Mavwere.
