Mchinji Man Caught Having Sex with Brother’s Wife Whose Husband Went to Zambia to Seek Greener Pastures, Commits Suicide

A 38 year old man in Mchinji committed suicide by hanging himself to death after being caught making love with his elder brother’s wife.

It is reported that Tsoka Cheboko was in a secret love affair with his sister-in-law, whose husband is seeking green pasture in Zambia and on May 6, 2019, he was caught red handed doing sex with her.

According to Mchinji district Police Public Relations Officer (PRO), Inspector Kaitano Lubrino, Tsoka disappeared from the village until next morning where he was discovered hanging to a tree in one of the bushes whilst dead.

“Officers from Kamwendo Police Post and a medical practitioner from Mchinji District Hospital went to the scene to investigate the matter,” he said.

Lubrino said post-mortem results revealed that Cheboko died due to strangulation.

Meanwhile, police in the district is appealing to members of the public to refrain from taking own life as a remedy towards problem solving once challenged but rather seek proper ways and advice.

Cheboko hailed from Chikomeni village in area of Traditional Authority (TA) Simphasi in Mchinji.
