High Court Judge reserves ruling on injunction obtained by MCP

The High Court in Lilongwe has reserved its ruling on a MEC application to vacate an MCP injunction, restraining the electoral body from announcing presidential results, to a later date.
MEC’s Director of Legal Services, David Matumika Banda, says Judge Charles Mkandawire promised to make the ruling “within a reasonable time”.
The court has until Wednesday to decide whether MEC should release the results they have or wait for a judicial review on whether results of certain districts should be recounted.
