Police in no Show for Peace Treaty Signing

Malawi Police in the northern region did not show up for signing peace agreement ahead of May 21 elections.

Evangelical Association of Malawi (EAM) organized the signing of a commitment of Peace agreement.

The ceremony was meant to help political parties and other stakeholders in controlling political violence before and after elections.

EAM Commissioner on Commission of Justice, Ethics, Peace and Justice, Reverend Makuni Gondwe, said the development has not pleased them and other stakeholders.

Reasons for their absence to the ceremony is not known. f
