Premier Bet CEO promises 1,000 jobs in Malawi

The Chief Executive Officer for Premier Lotto Malawi Milos Jovanic has promised to create over 1,000 jobs in Malawi.

He said this Friday during its official launch in the commercial city of Malawi, Blantyre.

He said this will be achieved through over 600 of their sales agents that are operating across the country.

“We are thrilled to launch this exciting Lotto game to the people of Malawi. It is easy to play with a minimum stake of just one hundred Malawi Kwacha, making it attractive to the new and experienced lottery players,” he said.

Jovanovic said the Premier Lotto will make a significant contribution to the economy of the country, by creating thousands of jobs and improve the tourism sector of development.

He further said that Premier Lotto complies with the obligations of Malawi Revenue Authority (MRA), as well as being committed to creating responsible gaming in Malawi.

Speaking during the same launch CEO for the National Lotteries Board Foster Mulumbe said that they were excited as a regulator to have Premier Lotto added to other regulators they already have.

He urged them to play responsibly and avoid the minors to play in the game.

Concurring with Mulumbe Isaac Katopola Director of Tourism who was the guest of honor at the launch as said government are delighted to learn that Premier Lotto has successfully done relevant tests of the system and are ready to officially rollout the national lottery.

He said that he also learn that during the trials public response was very encouraging, which gives them hope for a successful lottery in years to come.

“It is pleasing that tickets will be sold through Premier Lotto shops and agents throughout the country and will create about 1,000 jobs and various business opportunities,” he said.

Katopola also said he had learn that every citizen will be eligible to participate in the national lottery as long as he or she is above 18 years of age and that retail outlets will increase further once the company starts selling lottery tickets on mobile phones in the near future in a bid to increase outreach which is commendable.

He further said Premier Lotto will become one the major tax revenue contributors in the industry which is very significant as this will go a long way in contributing towards the economic growth of our country.
