DPP sponsors pro-Jane Ansah demonstrations in Blantyre

Information reaching faceofmalawi indicates that the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) sponsored pro Jane Ansah Demonstrations held today in the commercial capital Blantyre where thousands of women took part.

According to information at hand, the ruling DPP hired trucks to ferry women to Blantyre Old Town Hall where the peaceful march started to Blantyre City Council offices where the grouping calling itself Forum for Concerned Women in Malawi presented a petition.

The ruling DPP also sponsored the printing of T-shirts written “Iam Jane Ansah” which were used by the protestors during the march.

DPP Secretary General Grezelder Jeffrey joined the protest at Universal round about at Ginner Corner while one of the organizers Seodi White joined the protest at Kristwick in Blantyre.
