Malawi Defence Force officers in Mzuzu have cornered and apprehended MCP and UTM supporters who were burning down buildings in Mzuzu.
According to eye witnesses, about 12 people have been caught and brought to the military police custody at Moyale barracks.
They were caught following a tip from well wishers as they wanted to burn the Road traffic in Mzuzu.
Among the building they have so far razed down include Chiputula police unit,Mzuzu Agriculture offices, Mzuzu city council health offices, DPP regional offices, Ras Chikomeni house and Grace Obama’s House in Mchengautuwa.
MDF has issued a warning that anyone destroying public property in the name of demonstrations will be dealt with.
