Dedza Health Surveillance Assistance down tools

Angry Health Surveillance Assistants have locked up the district health management team in an office for allegedly failing to address the workers’ grievances.

The concerned HSAs said that they did not receive their salary for the month of June in 2015 and officials have been failing to pay them until today; hence, their action.

District Health Officer, District Nursing Officer, District Environmental Officer, District Hospital Administrator, and Human Resource Officer, and the Chief Accountant are some of the officials locked up in the office.
