Mayoral polls for Blantyre City scheduled for Friday, Ndipo, Mofolo, Chirambo, Chimbanga to face off

Former Mayor for the City of Blantyre Wild Ndipo is expected to tussle with three other contenders for the post of Mayor this coming Friday, faceofmalawi can reveal.

According to information at hand, Ndipo, Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Councillor for Chigumura Ward will face his fellow DPP Councillor for Namalimwe Ward Gertrude Lucy Chirambo in the Mayoral race.

Apart from the two, United Tranformation Movement (UTM) Councillor for Soche East and Independent Councillor for Mzedi Ward Eric Isaac Mofolo are also eyeing for the seat.

While Isaac Jomo Osman, DPP Councilor for Bangwe and Gerald Lipikwe are vying for the post of Deputy Mayor.

Other contestants for the post of Deputy Mayor are Funny Balaba Kanojerera and Joseph Nyson Makwinja.
