ZAMBIA – A young boy in Lusaka last week committed suicide after his mother refused to give him his father’s car keys.
The boy had a tendency of getting his father’s vehicle without permission and when his mother hide the keys, he got angry and killed himself by drinking doom.
His mother refused to give him car keys because last month he was detained by police as he was driving without a license.
Zambia Police deputy spokesperson, Rae Hamoonga who confirmed the incident said Mwelwa committed suicide on Monday 5, around 15:30 and he was buried on Thursday.
People that gathered at Chingwere cemetery to pay their last respect were shocked in the manner the boy ended his life when his mother was just trying to protect him as he has no driving license.
