Dausi say Airports, Borders to remain open during anti-Ansah demonstrations next week

Minister of Homeland Security Nicholas Dausi has assured Malawians that all borders and airports will remain open and operate normally disputing the plan by Human Right Defenders Coalition (HRDC) to close all borders, airport from August 26-30.

Dausi said this during a media briefing together with Minister of Information, Communications and Technology Mark Botomani.

He has warned that closing of borders is an act of treason hence government will do its best to protect the borders.

Dausi said says what is happening may have far reaching repercussions on the country’s economy as already seen by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) canceling two missions to Malawi.
