Chilima visits UTM’s Director of Research Leonard Chipoya at KCH

United Transformation Movement (UTM) President Dr. Saulos Chilima on Tuesday morning visited the Party’s Director of Research Hon. Leonard Chipoya who is admitted at Kamuzu Central Hospital in the capital Lilongwe.

Chilima was accompanied by some UTM top officials and one of them being Dawn Gowa Nyasulu, former member of opposition People’s Party (PP).

In his speech, Chilima wished Chipoya a quick recovery.

Chilima together with Malawi Congress party (MCP) President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera are protesting the outcome of the May 21 tripartite election which saw President Peter Mutharika being declared winner.

The two political parties are accusing the Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) Chairperson Dr. Jane Ansah of mismanaging the polls and the two has since dragged the electoral body to court.

The two political parties are seeking nullification of the Presidential results.

Meanwhile the case is expected to resume next week at the Constitutional Court in the capital Lilongwe.
